Nov 18, 2019 Kingdom Under Fire II Q&A: Bringing Massively Multiplayer to RTS. The Kingdom Under Fire series is transforming again. Check out our Q&A with.
Just the title. I see class archetypes that match old characters, Like Regnier, and so on, But I was curious as to what other classes will come to the table as time goes on. Specifically, what comes to mind here is Vampires, and so on. I like the summoner idea, but Single summon? Is that the only thing? Also I am curious about the level of grand magic.
Specifically, I refer to the old game's spells like the Healing Tree, or Meteors. Also if I may ask, but what sort of support type units exist? Old favorites were the Bone Dragon, the Swamp mammoth, and wyverns of course. Next class is a Dark Sorceress, which is another female elf. I'd love to see the other races implemented (half-vamps, dwarves, orcs and ogres).
But I think the importance of selling cosmetics for funding development and the popularity of the spellsword is going to make all of those unlikely except maybe half-vamps.There's buffs, debuffs, crowd control, nukes and healing skills. That stuff can be kind of spread around (players also get them as strategy skills). The closest to a dedicated support are the mage troops as they can cover the widest breadth of abilities and are kind of useless when not casting.I don't think those units you mentioned are in the game as player troops. Sounds like you're asking for big or monstrous units though. There's scorpions, beetles, ogres, eagles, airships, and steam tanks. That would be really awesome! Originally posted by:Next class is a Dark Sorceress, which is another female elf. I'd love to see the other races implemented (half-vamps, dwarves, orcs and ogres). We've just gotta hope that they find a good balance for post launch content and don't overdo it on cosmetic microtransactions, as many developers end up doing. The Eagles did a swoop while the wyvern did a brief dive and flame blast before going skyward. It was very much the same thing though.Ogres have become a unit type? They used to be the Warband leaders.Scorpions are nice to see again.Steam tanks?Do you have any information on the dark elf sorceress? The Eagles were called Storm Riders, and although wyverns are not in the game as player troops as yet Storm Riders are. Originally posted by:Sorry bud, no clue, I'm rocking a pure scorpion/ogre army at the moment. I think they function the same as any other unit though, there doesn't seem to be a separate system for support units like in the original game, I think you just get to command 'em.
If you could indulge me, You mention Scorpions in your army. Given that, how long did it take you to unlock A scorpion? In respect to time to get one, and requirements to get it and maintain it. I figure the Eagles might be similar. Originally posted by:Sorry bud, no clue, I'm rocking a pure scorpion/ogre army at the moment. I haven't come across one yet unfortunately. You can get a good chunk of units from that troop guy but there's about 80 different units in the game right now, you can't get all of him from them. You get troop reqs as rewards from some missions so it might just be a luck thing, I couldn't say for certain yet. Originally posted by:If you could indulge me, You mention Scorpions in your army.

Specifically, I refer to Beast Type creatures such as the Scorpion. Given how I play, I usually like using such creatures or Units as a core unit that I support with other forces. A common strategy I use for games like Warhammer 2 and so on is having a large monster of some sort at the center of my army and use it like a bludgeon. Scorpion in the Old games did this well, and Im curious what would be similar in KUF2. Aside from that there's also a couple of armoured beetle units, and ogres. On the human side there's two steam tanks.I actually have the same playstyle and it's working very well for me, I just smash a couple of scorpions or beetles down the middle and run around mopping up and taking out commanders.Of course they may/probably will add more later.
